Room Requirements for Colorado Assisted Living

There are a few grandfather clauses in the room occupancy requirements for assisted living in Colorado. If the senior care facility was licensed prior to July, 1 1986, it may allow 4 residents in a room until such time as a remodel takes place or the current occupants are replaced. Any time after that date, only 2 residents per room are allowed.
